Meet Wally!

If it's a non-human, non-Pit Bull, family member, post it here!

We went to Walmart earlier and brought home...

Wally!

Named in honor of the place we met him!

He is part Chow Chow and part Labrador.

I'd have guessed Shepherd/Lab or Collie/Lab but that's me...
His owner was very receptive to sending the pups to our rescue (of course they'll be altered) but when we came out, all but one had been given away. She started with 8 :(

I told her to look us up on Petfinder and we'll help her get her female spayed.

He's adorable. Hopefully the person will take you up on the offer to get her dog spayed. Hopefully the other pups when to homes where they will be altered and loved.

I know. There were 2 left when we went in the store.
I fought the urge to grab them all and stuff them in the car (2 more were waiting for their new people to come out of the store)
We came out and only one was left. :(
I hope they get taken care of and not dumped in 4-5mos. when the cute wears off...

Where do they see Lab? I don't. I see Shep. mix.

The best German Shep I ever owned was Jennifer. We got her at a shopping center when I was 15 and just lost the dog I was raised with. When we brought her to the local Vet., he said he just had her 6 siblings in from others who adopted from the shopping center. Things were done very differently 35 years ago. :)

Wally thinks that the puppy looks nothing like him.

I don't see Lab either, I do see Shep or even collie but Shep would be more likely...but that's what the lady said :|

Oh yeah, Sis - we named him after where we met him ;)

Personally, I don't see any Chow there. I have a GSD/Lab/Chow mix. What does Wally's tail and tongue look like?

Here is Rifle, my boy.

Here is a shot showing the curl to his tail and how big he is.

The puppies came OUT of a Chow Chow mama ;)

And seeing these pups (all the siblings looked alike) it makes me realize how tough it is to guess a breed!
BTW their tails were all curly like Chows do.
I almost had you guys guess this one but I was too tired to get that involved with the post

from looking at the pup, I would not have guessed Chow for a mom. Guess that is just proof that looks can be deceiving when it comes to guessing parentage of a puppy.

Yeah I know.
I'm hoping the person who gave us this pup contacts us for spaying the mom. If they cannot keep her I have a rescue she can go to.

Fingers crossed that they contact you to get mom spayed. There are way to many unwanted dogs in the world today already.
