The incredibly amazing Diana/airwalk surprised me with a lovely raincoat for Short Round! No one is going to mistake her for a boy NOW! :lol3:

Diana can give you better specifics, but the body of the coat is made from heavy-duty pack cloth and it's lined with fleece. VERY toasty-warm and Shorty :heartbeat: it! It will get a really good workout over the next several days -- we're supposed to get at least four inches of rain.

Thank you guys, I never get to sew for a girl, so this was fun. I wanted to be sure no body would ever mistake Shorty for a boy when she wore this coat.

The Scooter coat is typically pack cloth outer so it's very wet resistant, while I won't say water proof, pretty dang close. The fleece helps everyone stay toasty.

I can see it needed to be a bit longer underneath to cover just a bit more tummy...see for the boys you don't want it too long or it tends to get peed on...girly dogs not so much.

Thanks Jen, that was fun to make.

Shorty's raincoat got a REAL workout this past weekend -- we had downpours of rain and hurricane force winds for two days.

The coat kept Shorty warm and dry through the rain, except for the worst part of it. (Even my high-tech North Face rain gear got soaked through at times, LOL.) Once we came back inside, all I had to do was hang up her coat by the woodstove and it literally dried in just minutes.

For the first time ever, Shorty didn't bitch and moan and drag her feet about going outside in the rain, LOL. Now, she just needs a matching rain bonnet to keep the water out of her ears!

Gorgeous. I've added the link to my favorites. Amber's gonna need a coat soon. And Andre can't be left out.

She's looks very lady like indeed. :giggle: Pokey is a little butch herself and I think she needs a super girly collar.
