New flyball title for Renee

Weight pull, Protection, Agility, Flyball... you name it!

Renee ended up running close to full time this weekend because our green border collie forgot what flyball was. She did a great job and managed to get her FDCh. She was running in anchor and we were seeded way too fast, so I didn't get to see many of her times (the teams we were racing finished way before us, so the times were totaled before I had a chance to glance up), but I did see one 5.9. That is not anywhere near as fast as she should be able to run, but it's under 6! She was running mostly 7's in her last tournament. I think having Hannah in the lanes with her helped a bit. And of course I brought her long tug with me for every race except the last and she ignored it every time and just wanted food instead, but for the last race, I grabbed her wubba instead and she tugged with that. I wish I had tried it sooner. I was originally planning to stop flyball with her after this tournament because she doesn't like it nearly as much as agility, but she did well, seemed to be having more fun, and is only a few points away from her next title, so I may let her keep running.

And the other big brag from the weekend is that Hannah ran for a teammate! This is the first time we've ever tried having her run for someone else at a tournament, and we've only done it a couple of times in practice. She really likes "Miss Maxine" though, and did so well for her. Maxine said she even saw a 4.7, which is only a tenth slower than Hannah's best time ever. The only time we had a tiny issue was when I was running our team's GSD, Bart. Hannah was fine when I was running Renee, but didn't like it when I was running Bart and tried to get away from Maxine. Luckily we only had to do that a few times, and Maxine held on like a champ.

I'm so proud of both of my girls.
