I believe she picked up a garden cart which you can find at most home and garden stores

The continuous forward movement has to do w/time, and the dog completing the pull w/in the time. I think in IWPA they can go over 60 seconds if the cart is moving before the 60 second mark, and then crosses the finish line w/out stopping. If the dog starts pulling, stops, and 60 seconds passes, then he's done.

I find I'm less of a neurotic nit if I mentally set a goal for myself. Such as, regardless of the weight, I will foul Soleil promptly if she starts jumping and barking. I don't always stick w/my plan (though I should), but it allows me to be more decisive. It's hard to make good decisions in the midst of things.

My biggest concern is I don't know what weight to start him at. This is our first pull so I have no idea what I'm doing

Hey guys!
I just thought I would post a brag for Kayden... since his owner is obviously to modest to do it for himself!
His first time competing, he had the GALL :crazy2: to enter the pro class instead of novice!
And for pete's sake... he pulled 849 pounds! That is over 14 times his body weight! It only takes 4 different pulls of a minimum of 12 times his body weight to earn his working dog title!

He is on his way!

Its too bad he didnt pull sunday too. All the dogs pulled considerably more weight. Weather? Or just breaking our new cart in? :| Or were the dogs just warming up?
I hope we see alot more of him at out practices and fun pulls... and I hope we definitely see him again at our March IWPA pull and see how he's doing then!
