Inara passed her Beginner Agility test last night with flying colors! She had to do, in this order - pause table, teeter-totter, A-frame, tire, weave poles, open chute, jump, pause table. She did great! It was a beginner's class, so she was on leash, and I paused her after each to re-collect her and give her a treat. She loves doing it and gets so excited that after each thing she just wants to race around. There were four of us in there, and quite frankly, I think Inara did the best! So we have another certificate for her wall!

The place I'm taking classes through allows you to take the same class over as many times as you want w/o paying, so I'll probably take this one over again. The next level agility class has off-leash work ( :o ) and she's not ready for that yet! But she's very good and has potential, so we'll keep working at it!

Good girl, Inara! :) How was the weaving through the poles? I like watching that on TV.

You know, for only having had a chance to practice them a few times, she's doing pretty well. I bribe her with a treat, but she's getting faster. Once she gets really fast she'd be good at the long weave pole races - she's very lithe.

i like the weave poles too-the dogs look so cool when they go through them! on another note, i saw an agility demo a few weeks ago and a little sheltie jumped through the tire and got stuck on the middle of it-i'm not gonna lie, it was pretty funny!

Oh I'd've been rollin'! There was a cardigan welsh corgi (long and short) in the class, and I kept waiting on her to get stuck, but she slithered over it pretty well.

Here's a funny image for everyone - the first class we're practicing the pause table and just a basic jump. I'm running beside Inara towards the jump, planning on going to the side while she goes over. Well, she went over, and I go ass over teakettle to the ground 'cause I tripped over the standard. I was laughing so hard. Inara just took the opportunity to give my face and sunglasses a great bath. I provided entertainment for the class that night. :D
