Wow, what a weekend. I was not expecting much, other than complete chaos, and I was very pleasantly surprised. I think I can safely say that the first tournament my team ever hosted was a success. I put a ton of pressure on Renee by giving her a full spot on one of our teams, and she did great. Her turn did not hold at all, but I really didn't expect it to. All I was hoping was that she would have fun, and I think she did. She started to shut down in her last race, but worked through it and finished the last heat successfully, other than a bad pass (I didn't expect her to go so fast after she had just stopped at the box the heat before). I won't put her on a team full time again for a while, but I think she's close to being ready to share a spot. We even had a four foot pass one time and she went right down and did her thing.
And Hannah did great all weekend. She even got all four feet on the box several times. I am so proud of her. I only wish Sam had been there taking pictures. And our new border collie did quite well, his turn stayed nice and high, and he finished clean most of the time, with no crossing over.
My dad did get several videos, though it was his first time at a tournament, so it took him a few tries to get the action down. I'm uploading them to youtube now. I will post links when I finish.
