Hi, my name is Lynn Ellis, I live in Maryland. I've been involved with Pit Bulls about two months. I have two dogs - a pit & a pom named King & Bear. I got my first Pit Bull because my son brought him home unexpectedly. For some reason my husband agreed. And so now I have a Pit Bull.
To be honest, I was scared when he first brought King home. Was determined not to like him. My son insisted it was "his" dog and he'd take care of him. Well, that lasted about 3 days. He's been my dog ever since. I'm the one carting him to the vets, to doggie school, for trips to the ice cream shop, and training him. I've been reading and researching like crazy to make sure that I bring him up properly. He's a lazy little pup with lots of lip flop and he has absolutely stolen my heart. It's crazy really -
- I worry about him all day when I'm at work and can't wait to get home and see him. I told my husband I have an "issue" I think. Can a dog really steal your heart this quickly? I'm totally in love with him. And on the plus side, he's been a positive influence on our totally hyper out of control Pom.
