Hello.
Have been reading the forum on and off for awhile now. Very impressed with the information and rescue efforts. My husband and I l are the proud parents of our 3 year old Brindle pit, Roxy. We rescued her as a puppy from our local shelter. What made us want her was our beloved "Bear" who we had rescued at the age of 2. He was a black pit/chow mix and made us laugh constantly with his crazy antics. Unfortunately, he died suddenly from an unknown disease. Vet offered many theories, but not sure. Have always been a 2 dog family-also had 3 cats. My collie passed away about 9 months ago from old age. Anyway, I am very interested in helping this breed in any way I can. I have fostered a few dogs. Had Roxy evaluated recently and unfortunately, they highly recommended that I foster only puppies because of her "dog aggressiveness/protectiveness" toward bigger dogs. In between homes right now, so hope to foster in the future.
