New chick in GA

Hey guys. I am a member of PBF and thought I would join here too.
I'm currently fostering a mom and 6 pups, so I can use all the help I can get!
I also have a male pitty named Icey. He's the blue boy below with my daughter. I have a female sheltie too...she's just a spaz.
I adopted Icey from a rescue here in GA about 6 weeks ago and he's the best dog ever!
The mama dog and puppies (shown below) were kind of dropped in my lap by a friend who works with a byb who ended up with too many litters at once and couldn't handle another one.
The pups are 4 weeks old now and we're weaning them this week. The mama dog has some questionable behavior so I'm not yet sure what is to become of her, but the pups will go up for adoption at 8 weeks.
Anything else you guys want to know, just ask!

Oh my! What a bunch of cute 4 and 2 leggers! Is Icey your first pit bull? When did you become intersted in the bred? Would you send me that little tri color? You're in Georgia? Hopefully we can find you a place to get them speutered before they are adopted out and save you some money.

Thanks Cheeky! The rescue group (K9 Rescue League) that I adopted Icey from said they would help me apply for assistance from PBRC when the time comes. There's no way I'd put my little guys out in the world without getting them all fixed up first!!
Icey isn't my first pit. I tried to adopt a pit x from a local shelter I volunteered at but it didn't work out. He had human aggro issues that of course no one knew about because he was found as a stray. I kept trying though. I decided to get a dog that had been in foster care so that someone could tell me about his personality. Icey had been in foster for a year. His foster mom pulled him from AC after the police seized him in a drug raid. He was only 3 months old, and someone had tried to crop his ears with scissors. He's 1.5 years old now and my handsome angel!

So.....who's in line for a puppy???? These little poop machines are a handful!!

Welcome! Icey certainly is gorgeous, isn't he? And those little puppes, well, what else can you say but HOW FREAKIN' CUTE!

The pups are great. They've all been given names...which I've been warned was the first step to a foster moms demise!
I just hope their forever homes are out there waiting for them.
I do worry about mama though. As of right now, I could not feel good about adopting her out. She has latched on to me and is very over protective. She growls at everyone that comes in my house or in my yard. She tries to attack my dogs if they come to me for attention. She needs a home that will work with her...socialize her...teach her....and I'm afraid those kind of homes are hard to come by. I'm working with her as much as I can, but again, that's another reason I'm here talking to you guys. Any and all help is welcome!
