Hello, my name is Michelle. Some of you may know me from the other forums. I decided to join yet another one. I am heavily involved with dog rescue, I work hand-in-hand with Heidi's Legacy Dog Rescue of Lithia, FL. I currently have 3 bullies, all rescues. I'm quite a fan of gamedogs & hope to be purchasing a dog from Cold Steel Pits some time in the future. Until then, I can continue to clean up after the BYB & peddlers.

Well, that's MY introduction, I'll fill you in on my dogs :)

Howie, my 4 year old APBT/English bulldog mix. Our official guard dog. He was pulled by a rescuer from rural central Florida after the hurricanes two years ago. He has a poor crop job, and a few rounds of buckshot in his dewlaps. He's a great little dog, pretty typical of the lowrider curs.

Pixie, APBT. About 16 months old, she weighs in around 40 pounds fat. Her owners purchased her from a breeder here in Tampa, but ended up totalling their car & had to get rid of her, so I took her in.

Bumper, my staff foster. About 6 months old, 25 pounds. He was pulled from Miami-Dade county.

My posts are my own opinions unless otherwise stated. They are not necessarily correct for all dogs or all owners.

:) I'm not a big pizza fan, but when I do get it. . . Extra cheese. Nice n' simple.

Hello! I love your doggies, Howie always makes me smile.

I don't own a GSD at this point, but I grew up with one. Most of what I foster are GSDs, but at this point I have Bumper & two mixed breeds.

Welcome! what got you into the breed? how long have you been involved with the breed? how long have you been with rescue? do you like pizza??

I'm young (Hell, I'm 15), so my experience with this breed is limited. About 3 years ago my neighbors "won" a APBT bitch from an auction at the state fair (Real good breeder, let me tell you :chop: ). I always heard nothing but bad things, but as I got to know this dog, I got more & more interested in the breed. I got Howie about two years ago, after a year of basic research. A few months later, I lost my lab. The house felt empty with only 3 dogs, so I answered a PetFinder classified & found Pixie.

As far as rescue, my mom has been doing it for years. I only recently started to volunteer with Heidi's Legacy Dog Rescue (http://www.heidislegacydogrescue.com ), & I love what I do. It's a lot of work, but well worth it.
