Hello,

My name is Sarah. I live in the New England area, and I am a licensed veterinary technician. I am originally from Alaska, but came to the area for school as I love Boston! I recently graduated with my associates degree and finally have time for a new dog.

I hadn't been around many pit bulls while living in Alaska, but during my time working here in the veterinary field for a little more than 3 years I have completely fallen in love with the breed. Never have I met a more intelligent, loyal, and loving dog who lives only to please. I'm always excited to see one walk in the door. Through many knowledgeable bully people (coworkers & otherwise) I have learned a lot about the breed, their pitfalls, health issues, etc. I am always open to suggestions as well as new ideas for training.

My new baby is Lotus, a pit bull. She is currently 3 months old, and doing amazing with her potty training (no accidents!). She is very smart, and knows basic commands already (sit, stay, down, come, drop it hehe). Unsure exactly what kind of bully she is (staffy, APBT, or otherwise) but her mumma was around 50/55 lbs, and daddy was a whopping 85!! Hoping that she leans more towards the 55 lb range, but I am prepared if she exceeds my preferred doggy size (40-60)!

I am excited about the journey she is bringing into my life. I hope to do agility work with her, as well as a wonderful car riding/running/hiking/walking/beaching/biking partner so I can get back into my outdoorsy groove which had been put on hold due to school/life adventures!!

Looking forward to being a part of the community. Here's my baby at the beach!!

Thank you! One of my coworkers recommended I register on this message board~ I am looking forward to some new ideas and information. It has been a fun experience so far, even more so for my hubby since this is his first experience with having a puppy!

I haven't had a large dog in a few years due to much traveling, so I am extremely excited.
