My name is Nicole and I'm from Long Island, NY. I'm the proud owner of two rescued pit bulls and I'm currently fostering a cane corso mastiff.
I was first intro'd to the breed when my dad brought home a stray dog he found running around by JFK airport, dodging traffic... she quickly won my heart. We spayed her and adopted her out to a family friend. I was pretty amazed at how smart, social and loving this breed could be and just knew I'd always have one in my life from there on out. At the time, we had a cane corso mastiff and a mini schnauzer...so these two breeds also hold a special place in my heart. (hey now, i know what your thinking...schnauzers are awesome
Here are my babies:
Olive was a Katrina dog...she was brought up North by a shelter and thats where we found her. She was HW+, was very timid and shy (but not nervy) and just didn't know how to be a dog. She took some time to come around, but now, almost 2 1/2 yrs later...I'm happy to say she is a true bully! She loves to show our foster dogs the ropes. She is my heart.

Then there is Dante. He was left tied to a log to starve, and was taken in by a "rescue". Thats how we found him and adopted him. He is my allergy boy, my challenge, my brat but also my big goofy clown. I think he is a mix, b/c of his size and temperment. Dante is lean but weighs in at 82lbs, when he puts his paws on my shoulders, he is practically my height! (yeah, yeah...so I'm only 5' tall

Last, we have Sophia. I found her at the Brooklyn CACC when i was there evaluating another dog. She was brought in by AC during an eviction and her family never claimed her. Corso Rescue asked me to pull her b/c she ended up on the euth list...that was 8 months ago. She has her "quirks" but we've been working with her, and she has come a long way. She loves being with her people and her little clef lip and silly underbite keep me laughing.
