Hey Yall! I'm Sam I'm from Ocala, Fl but have been living in Tallahassee for the past 3 years to go to college at Florida State(Go Noles!) I have a 2 year old female chocolate-tri rednose. Her name is Maya, I rescued her when she was about 7 months old, she had been an abusive home. She was such a stunning and unique dog as her ears are fully erect. She was very timid around other people but we had a connection and I knew she was meant for me. I hadn't had much experiance with pits prior to getting Maya, and actually grew up with Australian Shepherds. My first dog, Roxie (black-tri Aussie) just passed away this past December during her morning nap by the pool. She had battled with cancer and was one month shy of being 14. I still have one Aussie left, her nephew Chance (7 year old blue merle). Since obtaining Maya, I fostered a stray pit puppy that found it's way to a friend's farm until she found a home. I would love to get more pits one day once I graduate and get settled. But for now, my Maya is just enough for me! :wave2:

I found out about this site when I was googling a question to see what is wrong with her as she has broke out in a rash. If you let me into the forum I'll explain more

Welcome, Sam! Once you get approved to post elsewhere (there's been a recent forum re-do and I don't think I can approve others yet!), you should post Roxie's story and pics in our Canine Cancer section.

And goodness isn't Maya cute!

I LOVE the EARS! Personally, I'm a pointy-eared girl (not that I have pointy ears, just that I seem to like them on dogs).

Welcome to PBT, Maya!!! :wave2:
