Does anyone use nilif?? And how has it worked for you? Are there any links to where i can go to learn more about it? I know some of the basics but not all.

Lots of folks on here use NILIF, myself included.

Do a search on here because it is something we've discussed many many times.

Here are a few links:

Don't fall for that trap! It's the oldest trick in the book! And once she knows it will work on you, she'll keep using it.

It's shocking because you list yourself as a 'Puppy Trainer', yet you don't know one of the most well known, basic, and effective training methods. Even if you don't use it, agree with it, whatever, you should still know what it is.

I think that word "Trainer" is far too overused these days. I myself have worked quite a few dogs in my time, 'trained' them if you will, but i would never call myself a trainer. I've had people ask me to train their dog, and my response has always been, "You can come and work your dogs with me and i will offer some advice, but I am not a 'Trainer'"

Ok I will agree with you on that. My job title is puppy trainer. I teach the puppies to 'sit' and 'fetch' That is all that is required for our puppies to do before they are sold. I guess trainer might not be the best word... i will think of something else to describe my job without using the title given to me. I do not train obedience or anything like that. I work on bring out instinct in the field labs. After reading the NILIF stuff I do use that stuff I just didnt know what ti was called.

Our dogs have to work for everything they get. The puppies are handled everyday and even they have to work to get thing such as being back down with the other puppies.

Yup! Also had to use on the pup(Gemyni) that I took in once I got her confidence back up from being beaten. She started acting like she was the queen and everyone was suppose to bow down to her! AHAHA!..She got it together after I started using this method.
