I think this is kinda funny, and it's not something I have ever seen a dog do before so I thought I would share.

Over the last few days Gator has decided that the down command does not necessarily refer to his rear. I'll give him the command, he will go into the correct down position and then slowly he sneaks his butt back up until he is in a play bow. It cracks me up!

We're already working on fixing the behavior by marking and rewarding him for putting his bum back on the ground. He's a smart cookie so I'm not too worried about it. But, I do think I'm going to have to start marking his play bows and see if I can come up with anything fun to do with it.

turn it into a Bow! Oscar has one (though I taught it differently) and the hand signal is me bowing to him - so we bow to eachother :D
I can only please one person per day. Today is not your day, tomorrow doesn't look good either.

When I was teaching Inara to play bow when she was a puppy (silly me for letting her forget it!), I would say "bravo!" and she would take a bow. :)

I'm thinking of pairing the bow and a bark for some kind of greeting thing.
I'm going to have pay more attention to his goober behaviors and try to capture them. He's a really funny guy sometimes.
