Presentation on dog greetings

There are 7 Youtube videos, about 60 minutes total. The presentation is put on by Trish King for the Marin Humane Society. Pretty decent. And she seems fond of pit bulls. Only weird thing she said is that pit bulls were bred to stare and make direct eye contact. I'd never heard that, but maybe it goes along with their pleasure in instigating fights?

I'm curious what other people think about the eye contact bit...
I can only please one person per day. Today is not your day, tomorrow doesn't look good either.
