We put one up on the joist in our garage.
We started with a long chain wrapped around the joist so that we can adjust the chain length depending on the dog using the spring pole. The chain was secured with a carabiner.
We then attached a garage door spring to the chain with a carabiner.
Clothesline rope was secured to the other end of the spring and a toy was attached to the opposite end of the rope.
You'll have to play with the length of chain and the length of rope -- you don't want Dar to grab hold of the spring and break his teeth or pinch his lips, so leave the rope a bit longer.
Never make someone a priority in your life when that someone treats you like an option.
