Not sure where to post this... About vet checks.

Postby Gatsu » November 4th, 2006, 9:07 pm

Okay I'm willing to foster a pittie preferably male puppy.

But i don't have a vet per say, I've been to 2 different clinics and only gone 4 times total to the vet. shot, spay, cough and her skin scraping each time was a different doctor. first vet i went to didn't leave a good impression so i switched clinics, and the 2 times I've been there its usually with who ever's available.

So how would i Put a vet down, who technically doesn't know who I am?
I'm not a fan of running to the vet for every little thing.

what are your thoughts?

Just list them, the vet doesn't have to "know" you, they are just want to make sure there is a record of you taking proper care of your animals. People change vets all the time, resuce understands that.
There's a fine line between genius and insanity. I have erased this line.

I agree with Debby - I do the vet checks for potential fosters/adopters, and I mainly call to make sure they told the truth about the number of pets they have (so many people lie about that), and make sure the pets are speutered and up to date on vaccs/heartworm.

You don't necessarily need only one vet as long as it's all at the same hospital/clinic you'll be okay. So I'd list the second one.
