Dear Friends of Furry Friends Foundation:

As you all are aware, Furry Friends will be ceasing operations imminently. We would like to make you all aware that several Furry Friends volunteers have formed a new, no-kill animal organization, to be known as ARFhouse Chicago. Affiliated with the Animal Refuge Foundation in Sherman, Texas, the third-largest no-kill animal sanctuary in the United States, ARFhouse Chicago plans to intake and adopt out dogs, cats, rabbits and guinea pigs. ARFhouse will also work to raise awareness in Chicagoland about issues such as controlling the homeless pet population and the fallacies of breed-specific legislation.

We are extremely excited about this endeavor and think it fills a void in the Chicagoland shelter community that is left by the demise of Furry Friends. We hope that all of you will support ARFhouse Chicago as you have Furry Friends. To that end, we will soon be sending out more details about the new shelter, including several exciting fundraising events that are upcoming to help support our fledgling organization. If you are interested in receiving this correspondence, simply reply to this e-mail and we will add you to our ARFhouse mailing list. We also welcome you to visit our website (still under construction) at and send any questions and input you may have to

We look forward to working with each of you in the future towards our common goal of helping Chicago's homeless animals find lasting and loving homes.

Good luck ..
You can say any foolish thing to a dog, and the dog will give you a look that says, 'Wow, you're right! I never would've thought of that!'
