Remington for Foster/Adoption in VA

Remington is a sweet (and good looking!) pit bull mix who is looking for a forever home with a highly experienced bully owner. Remington was found wandering the streets in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, dragging a broken leg. His leg has since been amputated and he is feeling much better. Like many dogs rescued from areas hit by Hurricane Katrina, Remington is heartworm positive. The cost of his treatment is covered by rescue, but he would like a quiet place to recuperate. He is currently living in a kennel facility, and since he is not a fan of other dogs, you can imagine how stressful this arrangement is for him. Remington gets along with some dogs, but he'd do best as an only pet. He is very sweet and affectionate with people. Remington must have a fenced yard, preferably one with a privacy fence.
