This is crossposted, but if anyone can help please let her know
Hello, I am Pam Hall from the Royal Oak Animal shelter in Royal Oak, MI. We are trying so hard to fine someone that will take one of our Pit Bulls we have had him since July 4th when we found him tied to our fence. We call him Duke. He is a beautiful dog, but not good with cats. His time is pretty much up with us, and we do not want to send him to Oakland County to die. I have exausted all the means available to me to save him. We are governed by the Police Dept as we are a city shelter. We only have room for 8 dogs and we are totally full. We have shown him on our website as well as petfinder.com. It is a very hard decision to make to send one away when they are healthy and sweet. I am writing you to see if you would know anyone that will take him. I have also emailed Michigan Pit Bull Rescue but got no reply. We currently have 3 pit bulls now, and our limit is 2. It is with a heavy heart that I ask.
I know these dogs get such a bad rap. My son had one for 12 years with small children and he was wonderful. Duke would need some training. He is small for a pit medium size not large. He is young and energetic.
If you or anyone you would know could help us please let me know.
Phone 248-546-6304 I am there between 2:30 and 7:00PM Monday - Friday and Sat. 9:30-12:00

Thank you so much. His time is running out and will probably be sent to the county next week.
