Our Baby is HERE!!
She is so beautiful and such a ball of energy! She was happy to meet us, and jumped up on my daughter for a hello kiss before anyone else. It took her and Charlie awhile to start sniffing at each other, they really only cared about the treats. We had them walk alittle, do alittle more sniffing, and things seemed to be going well. Charlie was on his springpole for alittle, until Jaida decided she was comfortable enough to play too. Charlie got possesive and this started a few rounds of jumping, growling and chasing each other around the yard. (I had to go into the house and take a breather after that one). We finally allowed them in the house, after we had let Jaida come in and sniff it out. They still sort of kept their distance, as long as treats were being handed out. Jaida decided to jump up on the couch, and Charlie got upset with her again, because he knows it's a no-no in our house. They went at each other again, just alot of growling and chasing (no biting). This happened a few more times, and it was really the first time we'de ever seen Charlie act this way. I started to feel more comfortable.. I think I was just alittle uptight because of the waiting and anticipation, and hoping they would get along. We sat around for a good 4 hours, and within the last hour.. they had FINALLY started bowing to each other, rolling onto their backs and playing without growling.
Shana and Liz didnt want to leave, and I cant blame them. Jaida is an absolute doll and Id be heartbroken to leave her too! Jake decided to run and pick up some food, and took Charlie with him. Jaida was pacing by the door for a few minutes and finally just zonked out on the floor.
Oops spoke too soon, she smells french fries!
I will post pictures when Im done eatting.
