WARNING: PacNW Rescues Re: Wende Ballenburg

Crossposting a warning to those in the general area...OR, WA, CA...some of you might remember talk of this gal a while back, but long story short, she's BAD news, and trying to get back into rescue. Be careful. This warning comes from Diana, the director of the Clackamas County shelter.

We are beginning to get e-mails and notifications that Wende Ballenberg is back in the "rescue" business big-time.

Many of you may know that she was convicted of neglect here in Clackamas County and left the State. She is a "gem". She had an 8 year old adult male Rott that she had since he was 8 weeks - we found him in a crate that was too small, weighing in at 42 pounds, and she didn't think there was anything wrong.

We hear she is actively pursuing dogs and actually is offering some dogs for adoption. I'm not sure if our D.A.'s Office is going to have the time and will to do much - but please let your networks know - stay away from her and warn you adoptive families to stay away from her.

She once bragged about a Cocker that she continued to adopt out over and over again - knowing he was a biter - she refused to refund the fees and called him her little cash cow.
