Deaf and running out of time

Postby iluvk9 » June 21st, 2010, 10:36 am

Please crosspost!

I wrote about him on Animal Aid. His time is VERY limited. :( ... t-of-time/

Here is what Button's volunteer friend had to say about him:

* BUTTONS: 2 years old American Staffordshire Terrier, Pit Bull Terrier [Mix]
* has been in the shelter since 08.
* Came in as a puppy
* Difficult to adopt out due to hearing impairment
* loves toys
* very sweet
* dog friendly
* knows basic sign language
* housebroken

"Buttons is a very happy-go-lucky dog ! He is attentive, loyal, playful, loves toys, and is eager to please. He even knows some basic commands! Just see how quickly he sits, and then waits for his next signal. He does have a small hearing problem, but that does not phase him one bit. He's even learned to respond to some basic sign language commands! Buttons has the whole package. Come meet Buttons today and see if he is the right dog for you!"

Aw now I AM gonna cry! It took everything in me not to cry at the Shelter today when I went to do the updates. So many great dogs who just need to get connected with the right person.

I sincerely hope Buttons finds his forever home very soon. I'll try crossposting him on FB.

Thanks for the good thoughts for Buttons, Angie.

The way I figure it, I do the bios for Animal Aid and if ONE person's interest is peaked and ONE dog, cat (or blind calf!) finds a home, it is all worth it. :)

Some of the stories I get are horrific, but hope is NEVER lost! :dance:
