Because Shelter Pets Deserve a First-Class MealIn celebration of the new Animal Rescue: Adopt a Shelter Pet stamps, the Postal Serviceā„¢, together with Ellen DeGeneres and Halo: Purely for Pets, is giving shelter pets around the country a First-Class Meal.
During the launch of the stamps, Halo will be donating a million meals to animal shelters around the country.

They go on sale at your local US Post Office on April 30th, according to the email I received.

I've heard the beginning of a rumor that 95% of the proceeds will go right to HSUS. I am trying to find a reliable source on that.

I read it in a forwarded email from my contact list but that would be a good place to start.

My first thought when I saw the poster at the Post Office was, "Bet it goes to HSUS :nono: ", so I was pleasantly surprised to see that's not the case. I will be sad if it actually is.
