This is ABBY!!!

Postby HappyChick » March 23rd, 2010, 10:39 pm

Here is a very sweet, energetic little girl! She was surrendered, then adopted, and then brought back to the shelter through no fault of her own. The words uttered when she was returned were: "My wife is a controlling bitch". Wifey was afraid Abby would eat the throw pillows on the new sofa.

Anyway, her she is and isn't she freakin' adorabull?:

Here is one of Ashlee's (shelter volunteer) descriptions of Abby:

"Abby is a female between the ages of 1 and 2. She has beautiful tan and white markings with a little pink nose. When Abby arrived at the shelter she had a prolapsed uterus and underwent surgery to take care of the problem...therefore she is altered. According to the person that released her to us, she gets along well with other dogs. Unfortunately for safety reasons we do not allow the dogs to interact here at the shelter, but she does not show aggression towards the other dogs around her or while outside on walks. Abby is not human aggressive in any way, nor does she show food aggression towards people. it is unknown if she is food agressive with other dogs. Abby tested negative for heartworms :) and she has received bordetella, distemper and parvo shots. Abby is FULL of energy and will need an active owner. She is very sweet and loves attention. She will need some basic training, but she is very intelligent and we are sure she will be a quick learner."

"Shelter Dogs" by Ashlee Miller

If anyone is interested, or knows of a rescue that might help, let me know. I would seriously consider fostering her since she is so close, but I'd need a rescue to pull her and help find her a furever home.

Thank you!!!
