"Humane Sanctuary, Inc" - UPDATE INARA'S MOM IS THERE!

Look for me Pitty Love Rescue.

Thanks Jenn! I'll add you on FB. I've never met her, but when she was on Petfinder it said she was pretty mellow and good with cats. I can see about getting out there to do a basic temp test, or find out if somebody there is qualified to do one.

Okay, just let me know. I'll do what I can! It may be in this post somewhere but do you know how old she is?

I don't - she's at least older than 4 1/2 since that's how old Inara is! I would guess maybe 6? I'm trying to see who can temp test her or if I can do so. I'll keep you updated. I did friend Pitty Love.

Thank you all!

Apparently I am not permitted to temp test Miss Sophie because I'm not a "certified" temp tester. :|

A warehouse in Trumbull County, on the PA border. I don't have an exact location as they're being pretty secretive with it. Right now they're only permitting rescues and fosters because the legal case is pending - worst case scenario, Kathy wins her court case and gets all of her animals back. I can't imagine that will happen, but whoever fosters/rescues her needs to be aware that they may have to give her back.

If a rescue or regular person wants to foster any of the animals, please contact AWL's president Barbara Busko at 330.394.4122. She is screening all potential rescues or fosters so AWL knows the dogs are going to a safe place.

Missy, unfortunately that's what happens when legal proceedings go on. All the animals are "evidence." Like I said, I will be shocked beyond belief if that happens, but anybody who wants to help needs to be aware that it is a possibility, no matter how remote.

Here is a slideshow with the majority of the dogs rescued: http://www.onetruemedia.com/otm_site/vi ... n=facebook

I've contacted them to see if I can go out there on Saturday and just meet some of the dogs for possible rescue/foster out of state.

I am sorry to hear about Inara's mom. I hope she gets rescued soon. What a sad situation....that video is heartbreaking. I don't care what her original intentions were, there is no excuse for her actions- if she couldn't provide for the dogs she took in, she should have sought help. Hopefully they find plenty of fosters and rescues to help out. Do they have a list of things they need (food, blankets, toys, etc) and somewhere to send it?

They do, and I will track it down. Honestly, I think what they need the most right now is money for all the vet fees they are accruing. Sounds like they've had craploads of food/supplies donated, which is awesome. But like I said, I will find the list and let you know for sure!

Ino, here is a link to the list of supplies they are requesting, though like I said right now they're most in need of money for vet bills: http://www.facebook.com/notes/awltc-kin ... 8286585209

Great news! I'm meeting Miss Sophie on Saturday!!!!! I'm so excited! Don't worry, I will take lots of pics of her and the other animals. I can't wait!

Liz, do you know their webpage address? They say they take paypal and to go to their website (unless I am reading it wrong) but the address they give is someone's email address not a website address. It says see link, but I can't find the link they talking about. Their main facebook page also lists their web address as the road runner email address below. If not, I can use regular mail- but paypal would be easier as I am horrible about getting things out in the mail (ask netflix...I've had the same 2 movies for quite some time now). I should be able to do the paypal thing on the 3rd or 4th. Cant afford much, but will send what I can. Here is what they had as their web address below:

Money- we accept checks, money order, pay pal and major credit cards- visit the main web page at awltco@neo.rr.com [See link] for credit card or paypal donations and please be sure to specify that your donation is for Humae Rescue operation. Checks and or Money Orders can be made out to AWLTC with a note on the memo line "Humane Rescue Operation" and mailed to:

Here is a link to the pics and info for Miss Sophie: viewtopic.php?f=8&t=32565

Also, Becky requested that I help her in getting another dog out of there, dog #001. He's a white and red pit that she would love see become a service dog because he is so sweet-tempered. I snapped a quick pic of him - it's not the best because it looks like he's being pinned down by the vet techs, but they were all loving on him, I swear! lol Anyway, Becky is going to send me some more info about him.

I also wanted to post that all dogs are now available for adoption. They officially belong to the Animal Welfare League and can be adopted out for a fee of $65.

I think the court granted them custody.
