Pumpkin Update!!

Postby bustersmama » May 8th, 2006, 7:28 pm

Here is a list of tentative legs thus far.
Shooting for May 20th, unless everyone can commit to this weekend. This is for Pumpkin, the shelter she is at is on the verge of closing. She has a foster lined up in CT and is eager to get going so she can start her HW treatment.

Passenger - Pumpkin
Breed - APBT
Weight - 35lbs
Color - Buckskin/Blackmask
Disposition - super duper sweet, a leaner and loveable!!
Crate - will be provided
Health Records - Will be provided (she is healthy, besides the HW's)

This transport will start from GA, but I will take her to Chapel Hill (to my brothers) and meet the next leg in/around Greensboro.

Greensboro to South Hill, VA Approx 2 hours - Needed

South Hill, VA to Falmouth VA – Approx 2 hours - Needed

Falmouth, VA to Calverton, Md 1+30 - Needed

Calverton, MD to Camden, NJ Approx 2 hours - Needed

Camden, NJ to Jersey City, NJ 1+30hours - Needed

Jersey City, NJ to Stamford CT- 1 hour - Needed

From Stamford, her new foster mom will pick her up and take her to Thomaston, CT.

Any suggestions welcome!

Hi there.. I'm Danie.. Jen gave me your email to get some details of a transport that you are trying to coordinate...

If you pass me the details, the times, dates, etc.. I can post on a couple of boards I belong to.. you might also check out the board

http://p205.ezboard.com/bdogcommunity which is one of the places I'd be posting it as well. there is another board called Pbrc.net that might have some info on there as well..

I'll do my best to help out however possible

Just to let everyone know - Pumpkins HW condition has worsened and no one has offered to help with transport legs through VA and MD.

Pumpkin will start her hw treatment here and after that - who knows. thanks for trying everyone.

Pumpkin received the first portion of her HW treatment on Thursday. She is recovering. (slowly, as she is still in a lot of pain and is having trouble breathing)

On a few positive notes, Pumpkin has her appetite! She tricked the vet tech the day after her surgery into feeding her for a second time!

Each time I had her out of her crate today - she would go straight to her food, eat a bit and THEN come over for some loving (nothing like knowing exactly where you stand...)

Lastly, I would like to thank PBRC who donated almost the entire cost of her HW treatment!! Thanks PBRC and to all those wo donated and sent their well wishes!!

Well, she will recover down here from her HW and then if the foster is still open in CT at that time - we will try the transport again!

I hope everything works out for this poor girl. Keep us updated!

(If the CT part of the transport were to fall through, I am available).
