I just got back from the shelter and both guys are still there. Gomer is the biggest ham in the world and barrels straight into the snow banks on our walks. He really seems to have a zest for life.
Poor Kenny is stressing out in the shelter environment. He showers you with kisses when you get him out of his kennel but grabs onto you and cries when you put him back in. Really pulls at those heart strings
Mr. Gomer was adopted yesterday afternoon. I took a long lunch so I could see him off and meet his new owner. An older retired gentlemen who has over 2 acres of land adopted him. Gomer will be an only "child" which is a good thing because he got a hold of Kenny a few weeks ago when one of the shelter workers was bringing him in on a flexi and didn't realize another worker was coming out with Kenny. Poor Kenny now has a nice scar under his left eye.
Now I can focus my energy on getting some basic obedience on Kenny and hopefully we can find a good home for him soon
Before I saw the thread I pictured Kenny as a trunk-dog on a skateboard, that was fun. He is rather handsome and if he's also affectionate, he should find a home in no time.
Glad Gomer found a place to call home!

Giving this one last bump. Mr. Kenny is still available (why people pass him up at the shelter is beyond me).
I spent about an hour with him last night. His kennel walls are riddled with blood stains from him wagging his tail as people pass by.
Hoping someone scoops this little guy up soon but he has been there since Oct. so things aren't promising.
I had them list him on pbrc.net about a month ago but they said they have not had one single inquiry on him. Most people who come into the shelter are not looking for pits (go figure).
