First off, here's Blaze, adopted from DAWS this past summer:

These dogs are available for adoption through DAWS, the Danbury Animal Welfare Society. For more information, please visit their website: http://daws.org/

Jenny, an owner surrender:

Jenny is a 5 year old female Staffordshire Terrier mix. Jenny is a friendly and playful girl who was surrendered because her owner was leaving the country and could not take her. Jenny has already won over the volunteers who have met her. We recommend an experienced dog owner in a quiet home and as the only dog. Jenny walks fairly well on a leash and is extremely eager to please. Let us know if you want to meet this sweetie.

Lilly, originally from the New Haven pound (I think):

Lilly is a medium-sized female Shepherd/ Staffordshire Terrier mix who is approx. 2,5 yrs. old. Pretty Lilly came to us from a local pound and we hope she can find a new home real soon. The volunteers give her lots of love and attention, but she really needs a home to call her own. Lilly likes to chase balls and go for walks. Because of her energy level, we recommend adopters with previous dog experience and older children. Lilly has been enrolled in our on-site training program that gives her structure and activities to keep her busy. Lilly’s ready to move on! Are you the family for her?

And little Marlee:

Puppy Marlee is a female Hound/Terrier mix who is about months 4 ½ months old and weighs ~25lbs.(as of 9/25). Marlee is a frisky, intelligent girl who has lots of spirit and likes to have a good time. Her current foster mom is working on basic obedience and Marlee knows “sit”, “come” and “wait”. As with any puppy, she will require continued and consistent training so that she blossoms into a wonderful adult girl. Her ideal home would be with parents that can commit to being her true “pack leaders” and give her the love and training she deserves. She socializes with other dogs but can be a bit overzealous in her play at times; she attends a local doggie daycare several times per week with her foster mom and her manners are improving every day. Marlee would do best in a home with older children (15-16yrs.+) We will only accept applications from persons within CT as a home visit may be required before adoption.

Marlee, Jenny, and Blaze all have permanent homes, but Lilly is still available!
