7-year old Malinois needs a home

Postby katiek0417 » February 28th, 2008, 10:21 pm

Hi All,

No, this isn't one of mine!!!

Greg and I have a very good friend who has a purebred female malinois (out of incredible lines) whom she has to find a home for.

This dog is a VERY nice dog, she doesn't work, though she does have a lot of energy. Our friend's hands are kinda tied, and she needs to find a home for this dog as soon as possible. Unfortunately, Kenya (the dog) does not get along with other dogs, and this is why she has to get rid of her.

If you know ANYBODY who would like Kenya (she's free to a good home), please let me know...if we didn't already have 10 dogs, we'd love to take her...but we're already WAY over our legal limit...

Since she doesn't like other dogs, I'm guessing it's not in anyone's best interest for me to post this on any flyball lists. ;)

I'll keep my eyes and ears out.

Has she trained for anything?

She's done some bitework...she's got a ton of ball drive...so if someone was interested in doing flyball with her, I know that uFli has individuals, right?

She's a very sweet dog. I feel bad b/c the woman has had her forever...

This is her pedigree:

Those papers aren't hers, however, she is a full sister (same litter) to that dog. The mom (Virza) was brought over here pregnant and died shortly after she had puppies....

So, please keep your eyes and ears open. The good thing is that the woman who has her isn't one to just dump her at a shelter (yes, she has to get rid of her, but she'll keep her until a good home is found)...

Well, U-Fli has singles...but it's not offered around here much (we just did our first U-Fli with limited success...it was a small tourney)...the big areas for that are west coast and midwest. ;) They still have to race against another dog...so they're not out there alone.

I'll keep my ears out for her...and will mention her to anyone I can think of.

btw...is the reason she's being given up, her problem or the human's problem?
