WANTED: Volunteer to do assessments NYS

(I got this in the mail, looked up the location, its near liberty ny, or monticello, basically 2.5 hrs north west of nyc.
3 hrs south of rochester
1 hr 20 min south east of binghamton. )



BEST FRIENDS is looking for a volunteer or volunteer's.


The Oasis Sanctuary in North Branch, New York has been a safe haven for cats, dogs and farm animals for many years. It’s founder, Eddie Lama, now urgently needs to place some of the dogs that have lived at Oasis for many years.



In order to insure the best and safest placement for the dogs, we need a volunteer trainer to do behavioral assessments so that we can place the dogs in the best environment for each one.


We are looking for APDT certified trainers or a trainer or handler who uses only reward based and positive reinforcement training methods. Your volunteer service would make a vital difference in the lives and futures of these great dogs. We are requesting trainers and handlers familiar with working with dog aggressive dogs The evaluations would be for 30+ dogs and any number of assessments you can do is welcomed and appreciated.

Why do I have this feeling that Best Friends is connected with PeTA in some way?

(Whenever I see the name I always make the immediate PeTA connection . . . can anyone explain it?).

I worked for Best Friends, as far as I know, they have no connection to Peta :|

Oh, and I was invited to work for this place, it is very close to where I lived.
