My name is Scooby. I know how to sit, down, stay, heel and I walk nicely on a leash nicely. I love older kids. I am also crate trained and house broken. I have a big heart to give lots of love to a family or individual. Come and see me.

How sad. :( Any reason why he was surrendered?

I swear, when I retire, I am going to take in all the older, XL dogs in the country. :heartbeat:

He is so cute! Why was he turned in? Have you guys contacted Great Dane Rescue?

He's about 6 and was surrendered because apparently his owner had a bunch of health issues and couldn't handle a great dane and a mastiff...so he kept the mastiff and brought Scooby to us.

We haven't gone to Dane Rescue yet...if nothing happens quickly, I will...

If he is at risk for being euth'ed at all I would contact them as soon as possible and just let them know you have him. I worked with one rescue over here and they had to come out and meet the dogs, then send someone else out to see if they were mostly dane and then someone else to come out to take them to their foster homes after ones were found. so it takes a while. I hope he makes it out!

Ah that is sad, he looks like such a gentle dog .. I hope he finds a new home soon
You can say any foolish thing to a dog, and the dog will give you a look that says, 'Wow, you're right! I never would've thought of that!'
