Isn't he adorable??

I've got room for 1 more right now & i'm willing to take this guy....problem is i'm in MD and my car i don't think will make it all the way there.
i just got off the phone w/ Debbie. She said the pound is closed tomorrow, which is good cuz it gives him 1 more day. But if we don't leave them a message to tell them we're pulling him, he will be PTS tuesday morning before they open

Debbie would take him but she has NOOOO room left. And she can't get transport for him til fri or sat to get him here.
She's in Ohio...maybe someone could even meet half way.
This poor big lug will have a happy home w/ lots of hugs n kisses n treats...if we could just find some way to get him here :sad3:

Please HELP!!!

Do you have a transport set up? Like from here to here and here to here and times? Maybe that would help?

if the transport comes through NY state, near Albany, I can help transport or even hold the dog over-night, I am not sure that you would come through NY to get to MD

GREAT NEWS!!! Big Boy(haven't decided on a name yet) has been rescued!
Debbie put in an emergency call to the transport organizer she works with in Ohio & after making some calls we were able to get everything set up! :yay:
Debbie called the shelter yesterday & left a message(they're closed mondays) for them not to put him down. He would've been gassed this morning before they opened at 10am. :(
Well, she was there at 10am to pull him. She then had to drive a couple of hours to Columbus Ohio, where another woman named Deb picked him up & is keeping him at her house there until Thursday, when she comes to her house in Hagerstown MD, like 1 1/2hrs from me :)
We didn't know anything about this boy. Like the owner just rolled up to the shelter, let him out, and pulled off! :pissed:
Well that's what it seems like...cuz they didn't even know how old he is.
I just got off the phone w/ Deb & she says he is just BEAUTIFUL!! He's already neutered!!! Weighs about 100lbs and he's young from what they're guessing 1-2yrs. Will have a better idea when i take him to the vet. The only thing i've seen is the pic in the post...which she sd does him no justice! :)
She did say he's awfully strong, but he's sweet as can be...already!
It's gonna take more than death row to kill that bully spirit that's for sure!
I know that poor guy was sittin in there last night & this morning just knowing his time was up :(
I just wish i coulda been there when he got that sweet surprise this morning...Debbie & her husband's kind faces coming to save him from that hellhole. She said he was in the back of her van chewing on the leash so hard, they had to stop at walmart to buy him a bone, on their way to Columbus. He must've still been pretty nervous.
But by the time I talked to Deb in Columbus...he was GREAT. She said he's got a real sweet disposition. :)
I'm just tickled! I've been a giddy mess all day. Could hardly work. 10am rolled around & I had to hurry n call Debbie just to make sure she pulled him...and sure enuff, he was already in the back of her van :)
The woman is an angel! She's got over 50 dogs in her sanctuary now,(mostly special needs smaller breeds)...and she still cared enuff about this big bully to put a post out to save him...and find him emergency transport on such short notice.
I will be getting him either thursday night or friday morning in hagerstown & bringing him home. Going out shopping tomorrow for his welcome home supplies & goodies :)
I will be posting his pics on here as soon as i get him & will post pics of him from time to time to show how he 's coming along.
I will be looking to find his forever home in maybe a month or 2, depending on how he's doing w/ training & so forth.
Well, wish me luck y'all
I can't wait to squish him! Did u see that face??

aww thanx but was is not for Debbie posting that bulletin on myspace, then arranging the transport, that would've been it for him.
Looks like i'm the only person who even responded.
She couldn't take in another one, she wouldn't have anywhere to keep him.
I guess God puts people in eachothers paths for a reason...it's just up to us to act. I could've just said that day...well he's in Ohio, too far from me, i'm sure someone will save him.
Well, as we found out, that was not the case. We can't just sit around always assuming someone else will do it. If everyone did that, none of these animals would ever have a chance.
I'm just glad for everyone who made it possible...all i did was make the call.
