~I am reposting this...from the UCare forum~

I looked at the pet list, and there are dogs of all sizes and ages. Beagles and other hounds, pit bulls, retrievers, border collies, huskies, terriers, aussies, corgis, and tons of adorable mixes. They even have puppies and a few small dogs that need help!

I won't have an update on these guys because there are too many, but please act now if you can! They are trying to contact as many rescues as possible, so hopefully at least some of them can be saved.

****PLEASE REPOST****

The Mason County Animal Shelter is packed. They're in desperate need of help because the Commissioners and the HSUS are pressuring them to start putting the animals down if they can't get them out to rescues. That's a lot of animals that have to die just because they had irresponsible owners. If you have a rescue that can help any of these dogs (the cats aren't on the site, but they're supposed to be included in that 50 left), or if you've been looking for a new pet for your family, please look at these dogs. http://www.masoncounty.petfinder.org If you can't take on the lifetime commitment of an adoption, but still want to save a life, consider becoming a foster for a local rescue. This shelter is very rescue friendly and transports pretty much anywhere on the east coast and further. Please contact the shelter if you would like to help. If you have questions, feel free to contact me (myspace.com/rach5). THANK YOU!
