For those of you with businesses, would you consider donating an item or two to the Bull-ympics?

You can do it with an actual item of a 'gift certificate'

Please PM me if you are willing to donate!

Thanks,

Michelle

I will donate some tugs for a raffle if you like. I have been working on new designs, I have a braided ring and a braided chain, as well as long and short tugs, and short tugs with handles.

Her tugs are great too! Munkee LOVED his & it lasted him for quite a while. But....I forgot to put it up one night & he tore it to pieces.

Hey guys... Marinepits brought to my attention that I neglected to post any information on hotels in the area. :rolleyes2:  Sorry.
Please keep in mind the New York State Fair is 10 days long and ends on Labor Day for those of you interested. But you should know this may affect the availability of some of the accomodations, so make reservations soon.
Dont forget RVs (self contained) and tenting is allowed in the event site.

So here it is... I am sure Michelle will get it on the website soon.

Riverside Inn (15 min) 315-593-2444
930 S First Street, Fulton NY 13069

Holiday Inn (30 min) 315-457-8700
100 Farrel Road, State Fair Grounds, Syracuse NY 13029

Microtel Inns & Suites (15 min) 315-635-9556
131 Downer Street, Baldwinsville NY 13027

Comfort Inn (20 min) 315-453-0045
7010 Interstate Island Road, Syracuse NY 13029

Holiday Inn (30 min) 315-253-4531
North Street, Auburn NY 13021

Knights Inn (30 min) 315-453-6330
430 Electronics Parkway & 7th North, Liverpool NY 13088

Campgrounds
KOA Campgrounds (10 min) 315-635-6405

These are the hotels regularly used for dog events at this site. Sorry I didnt have the info out sooner.

There is plenty of space to tent at the site of the event if you want. I will check and see if we need to have people reserve spots or not. There may be a small fee.

I will get back about that.

It looks like there will be a team of CGC evaluators. We'll keep you updated. We might run 2 at a time.

is the cgc state specific?

ie. if (by some miracle of god) one of mine were to pass...

would it matter that it wasn't in the state of their licensing?

Sanctioned with IWPA.
Northern New York Bulldoggers is the club who is supplying the equipment, and scheduling and running the weight pull part of it. Who's judging and entry fee? I am not sure yet. I need to talk to Charles and get updated info on the website.
I would imagine it would run all together.

About the CGC... I has the same requirements everywhere. I believe there are several differerent sections on this list describing requirements for it.

if you find you will have a ton of dogs competeingyou might want to run two tracks at once ( under 80lbs on one-over 80lbs on other)
i have all the stuff needed for a iwpa sanctioned pull-strong cart, chute fence, carpet, weigh in scale& sling
i orginize alot of iwpa pulls in new york and have one of the strongest carts- load it as heavy as you want it won't twist , tweak , or stop rolling
cato is only 3 hrs away and i could get you the equipment
the other thought would be a seperate track set up for novice dogs to learn , train ,& compete on -it always seems like beginers get thrown to the dogs( no pun intended) with a seperate track beginers could try a harness on hook up and learn how to weight pull the right way
its a better way to bring new people into the sport without the pressure of competition
at the end of the day all people still interested could compete for novice class
so many people get in the chute and you don't realize the mental damage done- but by learning a few tricks in the chute can prevent teaching the wrong stuff on accident
let me know my equipment isn't going to be used that weekend so its yours to use
