Gun question

I am looking to buy a small, RELIABLE .40 cal weapon. My first choice right now is the "baby Glock," the 27. My dad has a Springfield Armory XDM that he LOVES, and they just came out with a compact .40 XDM, though it is slightly larger than the Glock.

I want something that is going to require minimal upkeep and not have a tendency to jam up. I love my Glock and its reliability, but even the 27 is a bit large for comfortable concealed carrying, especially in the summer. I'll do it, but wouldn't mind something smaller.

Thoughts and recommendations?

This is what I have been looking at. I prefer and shoot more accurately with a revolver. It also has a built in laser. If it moves in the dark on my property at night I will hit it. Travis found this for me. I am waiting to go apply for my concealed weapons permit.
It comes in 38 special or 380 automatic.

I'm not a big revolver girl, and I have a metric crap-ton of .40 ammo so I really want something that takes .40.

I understand. Everyone has their own preference. Travis has a good collection of all kinds of weapons and I can outshoot my Dad and him with the .357 magnum. Can't seem to hit the broad side of a barn with the .9mm. We do have our own shooting range in the backyard for target practice.
