Last night

Everything that doesn't fit anywhere else!

Postby mnp13 » October 26th, 2010, 5:50 pm

So... last night Demo came home last night in his uniform. Very weird. In three and a half years, he's come home in his uniform twice maybe three times.

So we're talking and he tells me to do something (can't for the life of me remember what.) I laughed and said no. Told me again, I gave him a look and said no. He then says "I'm in my uniform, you have to do as you're told." I said "no I don't" "Yes you do" "No I don't, officer friendly." "I'm not Officer Friendly." "No kidding, I live with you." "You have to do as your told or your going to get in trouble." (Well, I figured I knew where this was going.) "Oh, in trouble? Kiss my ass." "Yes, you have to do as you're told. (and fumbles with something on his belt, uh oh, kinky) *ring box opes in my face* Marry me." *shock* I recognize the ring instantly "that's my grandmother's ring!" "Yes it is." (rabbit trail conversation ensues, but I saw something shiny, it happens.) "You know, you didn't answer me yet" "*laughing* uh... well..." "Never mind, that was an order."

It's my great-great-grandmother's (mom's mom's father's mom's) ring; she got married about 1910. My grandmother (mom's mom) took apart a few rings to make one gi-normous diamond ring, and my mom inherited the settings when she passed. My mom's eventual plan was to give my younger sister and I the rings with stones in them; since my older sister inherited the ring with all the diamonds. But I got it now... :)

So that's the story. (My) wedding party and family have been notified, so I'm clear to post.

Congratulations!!!

Mark read over my shoulder & said you should have done as you were told.

Yes. I kicked him for you. With my dead foot wearing Dr. Marten's boots, so it hurt.
