Good Thoughts/Prayers Please....

Everything that doesn't fit anywhere else!

Postby ArtGypsy » April 9th, 2010, 8:12 am

Hey Gang.........
I'm not sure how many of you knew that Gerry had to have surgery on Tuesday-----------

Well, we won't know more til next week, but they found cancer in her uterus, so they're removing everything next week and then find out what stage the cancer is, and what "grade" the cells are.

Please keep us in your thoughts.........

THANKS GUYS........... :)

The surgery is scheduled next Wednesday at 6:00 in the morning........everything 'out' and a search of the abdominal cavity/lymph nodes to see if there's been metastasis . ]
\
But truthfully we're both pretty optimistic that all will go well. She'll be in the hosp. til Friday.....

Looks like we 'arrived' in just the nick of time!!!!!!

The endometrial cancer had spread halfway THROUGH the uterine muscle, but had not yet infiltrated the nearest lymph node!!!!!

There's a consultation with a radiological oncologist to see if a 'just to make sure' round of radiation is necessary, but gosh....to me............if there was NO cancer in the 'abdominal wash' and No cancer in any nearby lymph nodes, I'm not sure 'what' would be radiated? :|

Thank you all for the warm thoughts, prayers, notes and comments.

Fantastic!!!!!

With my aunt's cancer, the same thing happened, and she didn't have to have any followup after her initial whatever-the-name-is (I know it's not a spay for people, but the name of it is escaping me right now, sorry. )

lmao

Only dog people would think it was "cute" to just be told that their partner was spayed.
