Who's got a great Digital cam?

Everything that doesn't fit anywhere else!

Postby msvette2u » May 6th, 2006, 5:20 pm

OK I am in the market to buy a new digital camera.
We currently have a Sony dsc.? 3.5 megapixel camera.
I cannot STAND the fact that it takes so long, once you press the button, for the camera to snap the pic. And the flash is always on. And then AFTER you take the pic it takes forever to "recharge" itself to be ready to take another pic. Takes all the spontaneity away!!!
So...who has a camera that takes nice pics and doesn't do this stuff!!??
Suggestions please!

This is the one I have -- just bought it about a month ago and LOVE it! Takes photos with almost no lag time.

This is the one my daughter has. It takes great pictures & has gone down in price from when she got hers.

I have a Nikon Coolpix 5100 and I want to throw it into oncoming traffic. The shutter speed is absurdly slow and I can't take a good picture with it to save my life. I had the 4100 before this one and it rocked. Then it was stolen, I upgraded, and I HATE IT!

Both of my professional photographer friends use Canon and that is absolutely the route I'm going next time.

Thats my problem now. It's insane how long it takes to take the pics. I wasted all those pics at the kids Tae Kwon Do - they'd kick and 3 seconds later the stupid thing would take the pic. That's AFTER I clicked the shutter button, what gives!? I think my "mothers' day" request (he just asked a bit ago) will be a new camera!
By Canon do you mean the SLR type camera?

Mine's the 7.2. I'm very happy with it. What mode are you using that the flash is on during the day? It sounds like something has gotten messed up!

My D-70 should be here on Monday! :elephant: :elephant: :elephant:

Can't wait as I've been without a digital camera for almost a month. I liked my Minolta dimage 7HI but a sensor died on it after the last trial so I figured it's a good excuse to upgrade.
