I wouldn't recommend driving through this area of France

Beautiful! How long is it? I would so love to drive it.

check out the website, there is a movie about how they made it. It's in French, but you can follow the graphics.

They assembled the bridge in sections on land and then moved them out and put it together in pieces. talk about having NO margin for error!

Skrew that! I can barely handle the Pattullo bridge to Vancouver. Than again, it's a death trap, literally. The quote in Wikipedia backs that fact.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pattullo_Bridge

"The Pattullo Bridge consists of four lanes (two in each direction) with no barrier of any sort in the centre, making it highly prone to head-on collisions, especially at excessive speed or bad weather."

Fricken' HELLO! It's the lower mainland. The weather is bad three out of four seasons! I'm not even going to start on the idiot drivers. I see my children's lives pass before my eyes everytime I cross that stupid thing.

Uh..... ya....... I'm not fond of bridges. :|

Mothman's prophecy, a gazillion times worst.

Personnally, the Laviolette bridge really scares me. It's not that big, but themiddle part just looks flimsy to me. Image

I really don't like bridges, or the tought of landing in deep water trapped in a car. Icy water is just making it worse.
