What is that smell?

Everything that doesn't fit anywhere else!

Wasn't sure where to put this one..

The puppy has a blanket that stays in his crate with him. It came with him, he adores it. Sleeps on it daily, drags it out of his crate, wrestles with it and everything. IT STINKS!! I don't understand... I'm constantly washing it, he doesn't stink, the crate doesn't stink. Man, that blanket though... He doesn't have any accidents in his crate? I'm just beside myself :| why do the towels and blankets smell so bad after a day or two of just sleeping on them? It's not just the one blanket, since I had to change him up a time or two, but that one seems to hold more odor and smell so much faster? Is it puppy breath dried that smells so horrible, lol? Anyone else experience what I'm talking about?

Weda's blankets are like this.

Washed one day, the next they smell funky!

And it's not a long drifting smell, only when you get next to the crate.

No Accidents in the kennel either. She doesn't smell.

Maybe it's just "DOG".

Oscar has a fleece blanket that picks up smell like not other. His cotton blankets seem to do much better smell wise then the fleece, wich I have to wash weekly, it seems.

I'm doing a load of bedding as I type!! I think it's just like sheets. We are on them so long our body oil gets on them and gets rancid or something!! :| But I KNOW the smell...lol

Try washing it with a 1/2 cup of baking soda added with the normal soap.

Simple solution also makes a detergent that you can try.

Actually, spray it down with Simple Solution and let it dry in the sun.

Uhhhh - that smell my husband complains about. I can't smell so it doesn't bother me.

He puts something in the wash to cut the rank smell - I'll have to ask him in the morning.
