Hoke leaders discuss dog law

PARKTON — After months of consideration, the Hoke County Board of Commissioners could soon pass a dangerous dog ordinance.
County commissioners discussed details of the ordinance Wednesday during their retreat at Camp Rockfish.
The ordinance, which was proposed by County Manager Mike Wood, would require penalties for owners of dogs that attack people or other animals. Currently, the county has no such ordinance.
