Ellensburg animal codes revisited Monday night
Major update proposed for pet control

Ellensburg City Council on Monday will review a proposed overhaul of the city’s animal control code that better spells out pet-owner responsibilities to control their animals.

A draft of the heavily-amended animal control ordinance was formed by an Animal Shelter Committee working with the assistance of City Attorney Jim Pidduck. The Monday meeting is set for 7 p.m. in Council Chambers at City Hall, 501 N. Anderson St.

Copies of the draft ordinance are available at City Hall.
