NEW YORK -- A pit bull attacked two firefighters in The Bronx sending them to the hospital.
New York's Bravest were on Fieldstone Road at around 8 p.m. on Wednesday when the animal pounced.
The firefighters were taken to Jacobi Hospital and are expected to recover.
This attack is the third, vicious attack by a pit bull in New York City in less than a week.
On Wednesday, a three-year-old boy was bitten by a pit bull that was unleashed into a group of children inside a house in East New York.
Police say the dog's owner was angry at a woman inside the house.
He was arrested.
In a separate incident, a 90-year-old man was mauled by two pit bulls on Staten Island. His leg had to be amputated.
The dogs were put down. The owner was arrested.
