Omaha (KPTM) - A new committee is working in Omaha, looking into a possible city wide ban on pit bulls.
This follows a pit bull attack last week that involved four people, including a 15-month-old girl who is still recovering in the hospital.
Doctors say Charlotte Blevins faces years of surgery.
The city committee plans to look at what has been successful in other cities and will announce a plan of action in a couple of weeks.
The group is made up of Omaha's mayor, city attorney, three members of the city council, the Humane Society and Omaha police department.
