Minnesota SF2876 Passed

after several dog attacks in Minneapolis, Minnesota, Rep. John Lesch proposed a bill that would ban the ownership of "pit bulls", rottweilers, chow chows, akitas and wolf hybrids statewide.



The alternate bill (SF2876), which ultimately passed, was sponsored by Rep. Michael Paymar and Senator Ellen Anderson, and it focuses on dangerous OWNERS. It also sets forth specific appeal procedures for any dog declared dangerous by his or her actions.
