NJCAPSA also works to educate the public on puppy mills, with an emphasis on Pennsylvania's Amish and Mennonite puppy mills.

We had a client come into the office about a month ago saying that they were getting a Chihuahua pup. We asked from where (as none of us knew of reptuable breeders in the area). Her words were:

"They're these Amish people who have a website and have every breed imaginable! Isn't that awesome?"

Well when they told us this there was another client in the waiting room who said "that's a puppy mill."

The people said "Okay, puppy mill, whatever, I can't wait to get my puppy!"

They had no clue what a puppy mill was!!!!!!!!!!!!

What a great group. Do you know if there are similar groups in other states?
