I've never had a nickname, so I just picked two big influences in my life -- the Marine Corps (because of my hubby) and pits for the obvious reason, LOL.

I thought you might have been a marine because my sister is retired from the marine corps

Why, thank you, Joyce! (The check is in the mail. :D )

I would have joined the Marine Corps straight out of high school, but my parents were not accepting that choice and insisted that I take the college scholarship I was offered. That's probably my biggest regret in life -- if I had it to do over, I would've joined the Corps.

Tell your sister Semper Fi and thank you from me!

Cheeky has been my nickname for as long as I can remember. Munkee is my dog.

Mine was kind of given to me at birth. Maybe I am just boring and uncreative using my real name.

Mine's my favorite Rolling Stones song "Sister Morphine."

How do you think my dog got his name? :)

My brother's currently deployed over in Iraq right now. I got Rah 3 weeks after he graduated from bootcamp, and OohRah seems like a perfect name for a devil dog already wearing his dress blues :)

Well when I joined AOL I just told people my name was Yvette and then they'd say "vette" so sooner or later I got to be "msvette2u". I like that name.
My AOL name is better, well both, kinda, my main s/n/Email address is AlphaMom33 and it has to do with how I protect and watch over my kids, my husband nicknamed me "alpha" long ago lol
My other name/email addy is LiRedVette and I like that one, it's a Prince tune (Little Red Corvette) and again a play on the name "vette".
So if it doesn't have an "alpha" in it then it's a "vette"

Ah, i chose "Asta" just because Ã…sa wasnt very functional on an international level...And Asa made me sound a bit like a viking freak, so Asta it was :)
Its still a Swedish womens name, and waaaaaay more easily pronounced!

Cheers.

Ã…sa
